<i>It was a chilling, serene autumn night when a bard entered the Prancing Pony. He asked old fella' Barliman for a pint, drank it quickly as always and started playing for his small steady audience. "Strange that we don't even know the guy's name," murmured elderly and slightly drunk lady. Just as herself, the minstrel has been spending time at the Pony since anybody could remember. Old Barliman even claims he knew him as a child, when he was just a little boy accompanying his rich, but ever-drunk father.</i><br />

<i>Anyway, nobody's ever seemed interested enough in knowing him better, and he returned the favor. Never talking to anyone except for a drunken remark from time to time, he kept coming every evening and played the lute. For an unknown reason, after many years, the elderly lady decided to ask him about his name that particular night - perhaps he seemed a little more sad than usually. His answer was bitter: "It doesn't matter. Not anymore."</i></div>

Since then, nobody's ever seen the lonely grumpy minstrel again. I'm not exactly sure when it suddenly started to be "a sad unrecognized artist's" outfit - I blame it on Don McLean's song dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh that came to my mind when I started making the night screenshots :) However, I tried to experiment with quite strange white-gold-subtle green combination and finally found a purpose for the mystery cloak I got some time ago. I promise the next outfit and its story will be more optimistic :)<br />

<i>Sig Stonebeard is the ultimate outdoorsman. Hunter of beasts, tracker,
survivalist and an expert of sitting at the campfire roasting meats and
telling stories. That being said, you can imagine your best chances meeting him would be letting him find you, preferably grilling some recently caught game which you'd be willing to share. Finding him yourself? I doubt it, unless he wishes you to ;)</i></div>

Sid of <a href="http://warsteeds.com/">WARSTEEDS.com</a> said about his outfit: <i>"I've been working on this outfit for a long time, tweaking, making small changes and it's finally perfect."</i> And I can only agree. This outfit combines look of a woodsman and a classy fighter, looking realistic, practical and still very lore-appropriate. And I can't stop looking at the screenshots, they tell a story by themselves!<br />

Dwarven hunters have been a rare breed until now. However, with The Hobbit premiering at the end of November, I think we will see many more of them. Kíli, Thorin's nephew and the youngest dwarf in the company, has been pictured with a bow, shooting arrows at the enemies with deadly precision. <br />
<br />

Hopefully this will also inspire more high quality dwarf hunter's outfits, but Sigrum has raised the bar very high :) Match with both steeds - the warsteed and hunter's class mount is also perfect. Interestingly enough the outfit looks great on both huge war pony and rather slim body build of the standard pony. I personally have found it very hard to achieve good looks matching both types of steeds.<br />

<br />
Hi guys!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I wonder if
and when this line started to be cliché on my blog - but I'm back again!
And once again I sincerely apologize for not bringing you a new outfit
for almost two months. I will keep my work-busyness stuff to myself this
time and instead, I will show off what I have been up to in those rare
moments of leisure.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSxQ16WdShFj9_INMnW934-83wDqtKlkT0PS3zTk9BjpcABMIVl5VFY5JdurnpImbwgRBd8yVuFBGwBZGoz7vdUtYSbxBSsiImAOOcgaUeDdo2Pr62glK5A5cpThYNH-gOcY4vufw3t153/s1600/gw1_2.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSxQ16WdShFj9_INMnW934-83wDqtKlkT0PS3zTk9BjpcABMIVl5VFY5JdurnpImbwgRBd8yVuFBGwBZGoz7vdUtYSbxBSsiImAOOcgaUeDdo2Pr62glK5A5cpThYNH-gOcY4vufw3t153/s1600/gw1_2.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I tried out Guild Wars 2 while waiting for Riders of Rohan expansion and got totally hooked into it. I've spent practically every moment I had for myself ingame (which means up to 3-4 hours a week at max, sigh...). I must say it's an amazing game and a piece of art, but totally different from our beloved Lord of the Rings Online.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEByq_EfY_bT2y1Ezy9Y-fHxr6WjxMt9ATx4egChmWJHc9JT5DTrcAIPJUiMoaURgf7-MFr7jTGFlT98zrDSvqI1lxDY2H5InXPz8iT0JwpIe8OUlwqJfaX3S6sZVZAVNk_znz-hWhcReI/s1600/gw1_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEByq_EfY_bT2y1Ezy9Y-fHxr6WjxMt9ATx4egChmWJHc9JT5DTrcAIPJUiMoaURgf7-MFr7jTGFlT98zrDSvqI1lxDY2H5InXPz8iT0JwpIe8OUlwqJfaX3S6sZVZAVNk_znz-hWhcReI/s1600/gw1_1.png" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is what makes me happy as well, because despite being very deeply dragged into another game, LOTRO hasn't lost its charm for me and I'm already looking forward into taking my dear Freyjuska into Rohan, trying out mounted combat and other stuff which has recently come.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Until then I will try to get up to speed with your e-mails and wonderful guest submissions, first of them being published today (and I totally love it!). Thank you for bearing with me :)</div>

<i>Heathfells are one of the most beautiful areas in the Middle-earth. Huge fields of lavender and colorful trees - what a grace! It's just a pity that they are infested by evil creatures, including maddened Draig-luth and cunning hounds. Nevertheless, Brewbelly decided to spend her Sunday afternoon there, even if it meant cutting her way through enemies.</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<i>It wasn't even so bad in the end. A few archers here, a few silly puppies there, and she was right in the middle of lavender field, enjoying herself. Her only companion was her theorbo and countless songs she played, reminding herself of the good old times when she was still a careless hobbit lass, not knowing anything about servants of Sauron. "What good times that were! But they'll return anyway," she conformed herself and took a nap.</i></div>

Dunland Caretaker's Cloak is another beautiful mantle I've wanted to include in my outfits for a long time. Its gentle lavender color soothes any kind of outfit, but it's really difficult to
match because of pastel blue accents. However, the lovely hobbit
outfitter's merchandise, Long Fancy Robe, shares the same shade of blue.
Dyed violet, both items matched really nicely except for the robe's
salmon pink belt and gold hem. I tried to accent those with the
shoulders and the helm.</div>

Daerundros said about her outfit:<i> "Gold and white are a color combination that often fits together in harmony, like two sides of the same coin. A mixed blend of items, this outfit is designed to provide comfort while still retaining grace and elegance. After a few months of not coming up with any suitable outfits, I got bored of an old outfit I did for Daerundros and decided to create a new one in more brighter, cheerier colours. I like to think this is the type of outfit one would wear outdoors on a sunny day in Rivendell or Lothlórien. The shoulder pads are perhaps the most attention-attracting element for the outfit, as they are arguably the most striking feature. I intended that from this point on the rest of the outfit would come to the viewer's attention, as one looks down at the chest piece, then the gauntlets, then the leggings, and finally, the boots, all of them heavily accented with stylized elven features. It is heavily inspired by the Golden Mallorn trees of Lothlórien, but also pays tribute to the white city of Gondolin."</i></div>

<i>There were so many fierce beasts that she lost all hopes to ever see her raven again. She stopped counting how many vile hawks has she killed, when she caught a glimpse of white feathers. The raven was watching her, and luring her deeper into the valley! She communicated with him in her mind, but he didn't want to reveal his plan. Only when they reached the most beautiful meadow inside the colorful forest, he told her: "I brought you here to find what I saw - peace in mind. You, my dear master, will be much wiser when you rest a bit and concentrate only on leaves shimmering in the sunset - it will help you become a better lore-master." I wanted to make an outfit featuring Angolgol ever since I've obtained it in Tâl Methedras, but somehow I couldn't find items with the right color scheme. When I got the Robe of the Stone-student, I thought it could match, and I was right! The turquoise and greyish-blue clicked perfectly on both pieces. I didn't want the outfit to be too solemn though, so I decided to bring gold accents to the front with shoulder and head piece.</div>

<i>A true burglar doesn't show her face. If you've met this one, her identity is probably still hidden from you, unless you belong to a very limited group of people she travels with. We know she is a hobbit (unfortunately the height difference is hard to conceal), but that's where the information ends. Her attire serves as mimicry in the dusty Lone-lands, where she currently wanders.</i><br />

I bought the Steed of the Burglar for my little burg Grulka, although it definitely doesn't have not one of my favorite mount designs. Despite that, I can't deny that it's interesting and original. I tried to create a matching outfit around the chestpiece, because it has the same pattern as the pony's blanket, but I'm not entirely sure about the result. The whole outfit seems a little messy to me and I liked the version in full Pathfinder's set much better, but not original at all. I'm curious about your opinions on this one :)<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Let me introduce Grimthold, a great champion and fierce defender of Bree. Wherever battle calls he will be there. No matter the cost he will stand and fight to protect what he cherishes. He is a champion, a deadly machine, a well trained warrior that fights against Sauron's hordes with merciless ferocity. Always in the front row of the melee he is the first to jump in and slice everything around. He lives by the sword and surely will die by it. His motto is: "Kill them before they kill you!"</i><i></i><br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Grimthold said about his outfit: <i>"I wanted my champion to have a real plate armor, something totally
crazy with a lot a metal plate. I found some nice stuff for the
shoulders, the helmet, the gauntlets and the boots (that I LOVE!!) but
couldn't find anything for the chest and leggings... so I decided to go
with the Ost Dunnoth pieces for chest, legs and boots that went not bad
all together. The first version of my "battle ready" champion was with no cloak
and the helmet. He now wears a cloak and withdraws his helm when he is
not in the middle of a battle. This way he has a more civil outfit that
doesn't scare children:) Later I decided to keep the cloak always on. So here is the final
version of my super heavy champ, at least the most heavy I could have
made him. I switch helm/no helm whenever I feel the need for role-playing
purposes or just because I prefer a look over another."</i></div>

I saw this outfit on forums a few days before Grimthold sent it to me and it stunned me. Such a perfect heavy warrior's gear! The combination of silver and gold is amazingly well balanced and Grimthold definitely knows how to make astonishing screenshots :) I hope you'll enjoy this outfit as much as I did!</div>

<i>Brewbelly, the Peacekeeper of Maur Tulhau, has been raised in Gloomglens, but soon after the Rangers visited her village, she joined them. She is a talented minstrel and sings of the legends of Enedwaith, where paths of men, southerners and hobbits cross. This post is made in a rush - as you can see, I didn't even wait for good weather in Middle-earth, although the post was intended to bear summer atmosphere. The thing is that I couldn't resist making a quick outfit around the new summer festival hat, after I've seen it in <a href="http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/summer-festival-cosmetics-2012/">Hymne's preview</a>, before I go for a business trip. This isn't my last outfit featuring this hat, because it's just gorgeous, so I hope you like this quickie at least a bit :)</div>

<i>The fire controls him. He controls the fire. And sometimes he loses control entirely and that's when the lightening comes. Freygald has been known amongst his kin as a little unstable dwarf, not really the one you would like to make mad. When he's angry, he doesn't stop until there's nothing else than burning ground. When character slots were on sale last week, I didn't hesitate and bought another two (so I have 14 characters at the moment). I realized the only reason I made so few dwarven rune-keeper outfits was that my only dwarf was a champ, and I had no chance to have the beautiful RK skills on dwarf's screenshots. I've had this robe for a while now without making an outfit proudly presenting it. I hope I have achieved that now. I haven't used any shoulder piece, because the shoulders of this robe are very elaborate and it would be a pity to cover them. I'm not happy about the satchel though, but what can I do for level 7 rune-keeper :)<br />

I love this guest submission really much. Even though the screenshots quality is not very good, I see an amazingly well matched outfit, which is battle ready yet still elegant. Unfortunately Aisana has a really old computer, but she managed to capture the atmosphere of Lothlórien perfectly and used daylight to the screenshots' advantage.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Until <b>August 30th</b>, you have perfect chance to improve your wardrobe by some of the most appealing cosmetic items without effort put into group action. It is really easy to get Medallions of Moria nowadays, but if you're just a solo player or miss too many levels to be able to go to Moria, I really recommend checking out the <a href="http://www.lotro.com/lotrostorelimitedrelease">store offer</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'd like to give you another piece of advice too: <b>sets of the Written Word/Poet's Heart, Shield-wall/Quiet Step and Whirlwind/Iron Arm share exactly the same looks with crafted Lothlórien sets</b>:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Ceremonial Robe (Leggings, Shoulders, Gloves, Shoes) of the Written Word/Poet's Heart = Robe (Leggings, Shoulders, Gloves, Shoes) of Lothlórien</li>
<li>Ceremonial Jacket (Leggings, Shoulders, Gauntlets, Boots) of the Shield-wall/Quiet Step = Coat (Leggings, Shoulders, Gauntlets, Boots) of the Golden Wood</li>
<li>Ceremonial Breastplate (Leggings, Shoulders, Gauntlets, Boots) of the Whirlwind/Iron Arm = Hauberk (Leggings, Shoulders, Gauntlets, Boots) of the Galadhrim</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It might still be worth buying these items - depends on your real money vs. ingame money/level ratio :) Crafting each of the abovementioned items costs around 600 silver + 1 week cooldown and they are usually not sold on auction hall nowadays. You have to do your own math if it's worth 295 Turbine Points.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However, the <b>head pieces of these sets are exclusive to Moria armour/ceremonial store items</b> - Lothlórien crafted head pieces look differently (and less attractive). So it's definitely worth buying: </div>
<ul>
<li>Ceremonial Helm of the Shield-wall</li>
<li>Ceremonial Helm of the Brazen Call</li>
<li>Ceremonial Helm of the Whirlwind</li>
<li>...and the other three ceremonial Moria helms - they are all beautiful and unique!</li>
</ul>
<br />

<i>He rides the plains of Eriador, always accompanied by gruesome shriek, and yet he is not a Nazgûl. People say he sold his soul to the power of evil to acquire superhuman strength and fear resistance, but the wise know different. Maney was once an ordinary warrior, champion of his unit, but he felt so powerless. <i>Maney started</i> <i>training</i> <i>really hard, spending every waken hour practicing his skills with a sword, endurance and courage. He sought challenges and was always there where people needed a savior, especially against undead servants of the worst evil. Soon, however, people started to fear him for his unnatural skill and introversion, caused by deep grief. They started calling him a Ghost rider, and he gratefully assumed this role. And so he rides and rides, knowing only in his heart who is on the side of good or evil.</i></div>

I love dark outfits. Sometimes I miss the "evil" part of gaming in LOTRO (don't get me wrong, I don't torture young players in other MMOs ;)) and so I try to simulate this side in Middle-earth too. That's why my personal favorite in <a href="http://lotrofashion.blogspot.com/2012/01/winners-of-yule-outfit-contest-2011.html?gl=us">Yule Outfit Contest 2011</a> was <a href="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7011/6687753437_ab28e159c2_b.jpg">Kemendin with his Herne the Hunter</a>. Coincidentally, my today's outfit is also a dark-themed rider, inspired by Marvel's Ghost Rider series. It might resemble the <a href="http://lotrofashion.blogspot.com/2011/07/wish-based-inspiration-loki.html?gl=us">Loki inspired outfit</a> we created more than a year ago together with my fiancé, because the goat mask is very unique :), but the theme is different.</div>

On Saturday night I spent a few hours leveling my champion from level 11
to 18, just to get Cleave. This skill looks so amazing on screenshots
that I knew my ghost rider should be able to perform it. Then I spent an hour trying to retouch the mobs' names out of screenshots (you can see the very unprofessional result on the first and third screenshot - I just hope not at the first sight :)). However, I hope I have managed to capture the atmosphere I wanted for this outfit.<br />

Kiralynn of the <a href="http://windyacres.mymiddleearth.com/">Windy Acres Ranch</a> is once again organizing a contest to satisfy our hunger for beautiful mounted outfits :) In contrast to previous very successful Galloping Gala Fashion Contest, this month's one is not taking place ingame, so everyone from each server can freely participate. All you have to do is follow the <a href="http://windyacres.mymiddleearth.com/?p=2503">contest's rules</a> and send Kiralynn your equestrian outfits. Winner will not only gain prestige, but also a<b> 100 Turbine Points code</b>!</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Noniell said about her outfit: <i>"I wanted to capture the image of Lútien Tinúviel herself and the glory
of Beleriand. I decided to use sea blue dyes and it turned out to be a
great idea, because it matches perfectly to the Steed of Minas Ithil.</i><i> I hope you can see the mirrored starlight and the grace of the Valar on her face! :)"</i><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Noniell sent this outfit to me in May, almost 4 months ago, but as you all probably now, I'm totally unreliable in my posting schedule. However, even after such long time, I still remember how lovely impression this outfit left in me when I first saw it, and I decided to publish it as the first guest submission after my blogging break.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the sea blue, white and silver details all combined and perfectly matching the beautiful horse. This simple outfit consists of just three pieces, but they all "click together" as they were really made to be worn by Lúthien riding her beautiful horse (probably gifted by Beren). All Noniell's screenshots bring up the feeling of serenity to me, and I'm grateful for that :)</div>

I'm proud to present a new LOTRO outfitting blog, <a href="http://platemetaljacket.blogspot.com/?gl=us"><b>Plate Metal Jacket</b></a> and its very talented owner, <b>Argendauss</b>. After two very successful <a href="http://lotrofashion.blogspot.com/search/label/argendauss?gl=us">outfit posts here on LOTRO Fashion</a>, he's decided it's time to have his own blog - his collection of battle outfits is astonishing!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://platemetaljacket.blogspot.com/?gl=us"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiveO7tC6eqmK63yoKwy0IiR_a7yJMl2brF8TBPmXnRhRNBrs5LfZ6L2-Qbc_OXKKP5HrO5EAQArO-a-Vf9h87lbQojrxLPjd1l4f-jCbkgWL1GM2XF9fo-hYISj8KS6VDL_SrBPQQVFTJc/s1600/platemetaljacket.png" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>"The blog's focus is aimed at the niche of LOTRO cosmetics that I enjoy the most, which is battle ready-outfits. No dresses, unless they're made of chain-mail or something,"</i> Argendauss said. I'd like to add that most of the outfit are really different from what can be usually seen on established LOTRO outfitting blogs, as they are made from man's perspective and that assures great uniqueness. I admire this guy's eye for detail and perfect taste for combining pieces :) I hope you'll enjoy <a href="http://platemetaljacket.blogspot.com/?gl=us">his blog</a> as I do!</div>

<i>Ladriell, <a href="http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Quest:The_Raven">Cenlieg</a>'s apprentice, has been riding through Forochel for two days already. Her master sent poor gal to search for their fellowship to the west, where Cenlieg's raven has headed before he got stuck in wargs' den. Luckily, Ladriell found them just before the sun set, as they settled in Pynti-peldot for the night. The fellowship has entered heavy snow storm the day before, so their advance has been slow and painful.</i><br />

<i>Her friends welcomed her, but she knew there's more danger that she must face alone - master Cenlieg is a wise, but old lore-master. Hence he stayed in Kauppa-kohta, waiting for his apprentice, whom he considered dear as own daughter.</i> <i>She ate fine deer with their fellows and set off for a journey back, to accompany Cenlieg. No night is dark enough for Ladriell to ride through, if her dear teacher's life is endangered!</i></div>

It's really hard to compete with <a href="http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2012/08/08/stargazer/">Hymne's matching outfit</a> for the Steed of the Lore-master - her color match is unbeatable! I also bought the mount last week when it came out (it will be available in store until August 16th) and started building an outfit around it - but damn, the blanket color is really hard to achieve with dyes. However, I love the other details - maps and scrolls are just perfect for my Eriador Cartographile :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH8H9EO5elRk7pC0zhyphenhyphenkA2qsfSnmSDoIdP0ZMBZlvhEG65V3N0m-MMnvG08ypMzhrIKNrBiKI3XwriOkShikeUjoBZAcQctML4gKsoQKg-X7llygV7KEwuw0lRZcY-XhINj2bZ7PbQneR6/s1600/ladriell14_4.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH8H9EO5elRk7pC0zhyphenhyphenkA2qsfSnmSDoIdP0ZMBZlvhEG65V3N0m-MMnvG08ypMzhrIKNrBiKI3XwriOkShikeUjoBZAcQctML4gKsoQKg-X7llygV7KEwuw0lRZcY-XhINj2bZ7PbQneR6/s1600/ladriell14_4.png" /></a></div>
After a while I surrendered trying to get a perfect match and started composing something which I simply liked both matched to the horse and alone. In the end I settled for this robe, as its small details match other small details of the horse - the sleeves, the sienna patches... and thanks to metallic details, it adds a little fierceness to the whole composition (as the steed itself is very feminine and gentle). Although some people call this robe a bath gown :), I really like it and the patterns on it.<br />
<br />

<br />
I've always considered Forochel one of the most beautiful areas in LOTRO, but I don't think I've ever appreciated the sunset and dusk there. Today, while taking screenshots of the outfit, I managed to catch a glimpse of the wonderful lilac shadows on the land, and I felt like in paradise. I hope that it helped to underline the outfit's color scheme and derive attention away from the not-so-matching color of the robe and the horse :)<br />

<i>Everyone in the Shire has already headed for the Farmer's Faire. I did it! The famed Cloak of the Cluck is finally mine! I've wanted it for years now, but never got enough patience to finish all the Flying the Coop quests. Today, I've heard my kin is organizing a chicken run tomorrow (when I'm unfortunately away) and along with Farmer's Faire spirit all around me it boosted my will to finally finish the series.</div>

I was missing four of the Flying the Coop quests: Evendim, Bree-land, North-downs and Trollshaws. The first three were easy as pie, but the Trollshaws were a real torture. I failed it 5 times (3 of which I even had escort) and successfully completed it on 6th attempt, thanking heavens for <a href="http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?472768-Flying-the-Coop-Trollshaws-%28SPOILERS%29">the perfect guide I found on the forums</a> (I highly recommend reading it before trying Trollshaws run for the first time!).<br />
<br />
Although I completed the quest solo in the end, I'd like to thank all the guys who have made getting the cloak possible (thanks to them I had fun and didn't lose faith): <br />
<br />
<b>Bobojsza </b>- for shooting my way to the Aurochs Yearling near Esteldin<br />
<b>Danariel</b> - for responding to my maddened clucking under the High Moor and accompanying me up 'till death tore us apart :)<br />
<b>Fardor</b> - for willing to escort me up the High Moor twice, trying to invent tactics to avoid stealth lynxes and cheering me up when I got munched again<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNMPHeekKyLM1XM3g4DegURgC_ApKAZMgmIek2iBG63fIpJx3cSK7MAfTq0ISXhZHRw1NORhSr31u3jTWj-1h93_2U6hqxytwAafSWxlA0vhE5F4P9jeipOY9JfUZK4VrEmTnDQoyexAsO/s1600/wasabito10_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNMPHeekKyLM1XM3g4DegURgC_ApKAZMgmIek2iBG63fIpJx3cSK7MAfTq0ISXhZHRw1NORhSr31u3jTWj-1h93_2U6hqxytwAafSWxlA0vhE5F4P9jeipOY9JfUZK4VrEmTnDQoyexAsO/s1600/wasabito10_1.png" /></a></div>
<i>Had Wasabito known what rigmaroles await him after he agreed to help Daisy Sandyman, he would have never even come her way. He thought he would deliver a few pies here and there and get enough goods in return, and instead he has to chase for some stupid savory 'shroom soup now! He couldn't find it, so he set off to his old buddy Gerebert's house - they were apprentices of Shire's expert cook Mrs. Underhill together and Gerebert always had good eye on rare recipes.</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcpg0-cUlm-HL5B2EJvEU3pB8JRGgUSXQpSIwgGpA9YSVn_XZC6c825ZrxkAXsmeFEBiCIpv58u5KrScFU2r5m6fdQUCNsGuWRvBXSDiqHIrc9UMl-Ulao7_YlEnnnZYcisddzG6gIhQ79/s1600/wasabito10_2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcpg0-cUlm-HL5B2EJvEU3pB8JRGgUSXQpSIwgGpA9YSVn_XZC6c825ZrxkAXsmeFEBiCIpv58u5KrScFU2r5m6fdQUCNsGuWRvBXSDiqHIrc9UMl-Ulao7_YlEnnnZYcisddzG6gIhQ79/s1600/wasabito10_2.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<i>However, Gerebert has gone amiss (as dear Esilia mentioned to everybody else but poor Wasabito) and his dump dark house was full of miserable trash, spiders, and for worse - rats! Several pests attacked him and he almost pooed his pants, but in the end he held it! "The recipe</i>, <i>finally!" Wasabito thought, and then found out it was a stupid journal! "Oh goodness," he cried, running out from the infested house to the fields around Tuckborough, thanking for the lantern he'd brought to show the way out. There he swore revenge to the pests and evil fellow who asked him for this useless soup. "He will get the good old mushroom & onions one, I bet he won't even tell the difference!" cursed Wasabito, shaking his fist towards the wind.</i></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<br />
My last outfit before vacation was a well-armed hobbit lad, and today there's a hobbit lad again - but this time a plain fellow of Shire. He simply enjoys the Farmer's Faire, running from trouble to trouble (I've heard he recently decided to go to Maggot's farm to hunt some mushrooms, fool!). The faire's cosmetics are cute and very good looking especially on hobbits, so I wanted to make use of it.</div>

Hi guys!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My three weeks off prolonged into twice as much - catching up with workload after my vacation (which I enjoyed to full extent - no internet access, no mobile signal :)) took quite some time, plus I enjoyed some lovely warm weather with some hiking and sunbathing. However, I'm more than happy to be back in business - I even found out there's new festival ongoing when I logged in!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So Freyjuska is now enjoying Farmer's Faire with her fellow hobbits and I'm starting to think of new outfits for you guys. I haven't even checked my mailbox yet, but I will soon prepare some lovely guest submissions to post (unfortunately some even from times before I left - shame on me!).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Looking forward to going through my fellow bloggers' posts and your comments!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: right;">

I thought I'd be able to post some more outfit before my vacation, but I didn't manage it - I'm as disorganized as always :) I'm leaving for 2 weeks vacation tomorrow, so I'd like to ask you to bear with me and promise I'll bring you some pretty outfits after I return - you've sent me really amazing guest submissions which are sitting in my mailbox for now.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, see you in July! :)</div>Freyjuskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11375262281763737826noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8197914512000128593.post-18610335201725922972012-06-13T15:03:00.000+02:002012-06-13T15:03:51.667+02:00New blogs about LOTRO cosmetics - volume 3<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's been a long time since I presented new LOTRO outfitting blogs (aside from tweeting a little here, a little there), which is shameful and I'd like to set this right! For instance, I realized I totally neglected launch of the Starry Mantle last November (I mean I didn't write about it - of course I've been totally hooked up on Starry from the beginning!). No more mistakes like this anymore! :))</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://landrovalstyle.wordpress.com/">Landroval Style</a> has been up for a month and a half and already has a nice collection of good looking outfits. It presents blog owner's creations, as well as other Landroval players - I totally love the "<a href="http://landrovalstyle.wordpress.com/category/seen-on-the-streets/">Seen on the Streets</a>" category, which is kind of Landroval fashion police. There are several other interesting series, such as <a href="http://landrovalstyle.wordpress.com/category/dress-it-up/">Dress It Up</a> challenges or <a href="http://landrovalstyle.wordpress.com/tag/cloak/">Cloak of the Day</a> - don't miss them!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I can't believe I missed <a href="http://vogueoftherings.wordpress.com/">Vogue of the Rings</a> when it launched in last year's November (aye, that's the same month Starry Mantle launched - must have been very busy month for me :( ). It's run by Danica, whom you might remember by <a href="http://vogueoftherings.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/elegant-yule-outfit/">this outfit </a>which ended up in TOP 9 in <a href="http://lotrofashion.blogspot.cz/2012/01/winners-of-yule-outfit-contest-2011.html">Yule Fashion Contest 2011</a> (under character's name Diamint). There's bountiful collection of outfits - please check them out and encourage the author to continue posting!</div>

You might need Google Translate's help for this one, but <a href="http://estelfashion.wordpress.com/">Estel Fashion</a> is certainly worth checking out. Blog started in December and is aimed at francophone community, but screenshots speak one united language anyway :)<br />

<a href="http://anunexpectedfashionblog.blogspot.com/">An Unexpected Fashion Blog</a> launched only last month and it already has a lot of inspirational posts. ...and there are more! Many blogs have arisen from <a href="http://lotrofashion.blogspot.cz/search/label/newbie%20blogger%20initiative">Newbie Blogger Initiative</a>, which I was also part of as a mentor (only in the beginning of May though, work schedule came into my plans :( ). <i>If anybody says Shire is a safe haven of Middle-earth, his words are long past due. Bindbole Wood, a landmark in northern Shire, has recently been infested with horrible spiders and goblins, troubling peaceful hobbits and careless travelers. Especially at night, the road passing through Overhill is very dangerous. Luckily, many hobbits have also been trained by the Rangers in recent past, to be able to defend their homeland from allies of the enemy. One of them is Wasabito, a skilled warden born in Overhill, who keeps an eye on his hometown and lumberers working in surrounding forest.</i><br />

A pre-order option for the upcoming expansion, <a href="http://rohan.lotro.com/pre-order.html">Riders of Rohan</a>, has become available last week. Of course I had to buy it, for the amazing Rohirrim cosmetics, if for nothing else. I'm a little disappointed that the Armour of the Eastemnet set does not dye, so it remains mostly olive. It's such a pity Turbine limits use of excellent pre-order cosmetics again, as they did with Rise of Isengard :(</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Enough complaints - despite it's colour limitations, the Eastemnet set looks gorgeous. So does the steed - it looks sturdy and agile at the same time, fitting for a Rohirrim horse. But the best about the whole ensemble is that the armour looks amazing on all races and genders. It makes even male hobbits look sexy, so I had to make use of it :) I added burgundy accessories (to match the steed's harness) and the horrible Cloak of Vigilance, which I usually hate. Here, however, it seems to bind the pieces of the outfit together and the braided blonde fur matches the mount as well.<br />
<br />
Don't forget to check out all the cosmetics which come with Riders of Rohan pre-order on <a href="http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2012/06/05/riders-of-rohan-cosmetics-pre-purchase-cloak">Cosmetic LOTRO</a> - Hymne did a great job collecting and previewing them (even the weird horse-mane cloak rewarded for the ingame deed following pre-purchase - and I mean, there's really horse mane sticking out of it!).</div>

<i>The southern passage into Rivendell is called the <a href="http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/The_Gates_of_Imladris">Gates of Imladris</a> and establishes a clear bastion of civilization and safety in an otherwise wild land. Nevertheless, the Elves of Rivendell guard this approach carefully, and it is not entirely safe for travellers to approach unannounced - those who pass this way with ill intent in their hearts are rarely seen or heard from again.</i><i><span class="smallText" id="PiratePreview"><span class="translation"></span></span></i><br />

<br />
<i>Sidgrid is a guardian of Sindarin origin. Her family had kept out of politics and wars for generations, being scholars of the times old forgotten. However, their firstborn child had spirit of a warrior, and they didn't object to her joining the Guardians of Imladris. She began her training as a very young elf back in the Second Age and finished it far sooner than her brothers in arms. Over the centuries, she became the leader of the Guardians, who are the key to keeping the pass to Rivendell safe. However brave and experienced, she is still an elven lady and even her unpiercable armour shows that.</i></div>

An elven female guardian - that's quite an unusual combination. Hard to dress as well - elven maidens tend to look comical in bulky heavy armour, it squeezes them so they look like they were wearing an oversized can. Here I wanted to create a distinguishable heavy outfit, which would look protective and feminine at the same time.<br />

I wanted to use the Helegrod items which are now available in store as cosmetic armour. When I started matching the Dragon-scale breastplate dyed Ered Luin blue, I realized the shoulder part of the piece is violet... I was like - what?! In the default red dye, I've never noticed that, although I don't understand why - now when I look at the chestpiece, the violet is striking my eyes :) However, I started searching for a complimentary colour and ended up with pastel green.<br />
<br />
I also used a hooded store cloak - I have to say I hate this kind of hoods and use them very rarely in my outfits. However, here it seemed fitting and served much better than any of the helms I've tried. The whole outfit ended up being cheerful and battle-ready at the same time, I hope.<br />
