Fashion sense is totally absent in Sauron's army, but blood spatters on soldier's body is usually a sign he knows how to use that cleaver in his hand. Urkaluk knows that and tries to teach some sense into his subordinates. Who knows, maybe later we will have to open a whole new section for creep models ;)
