Heathfells are one of the most beautiful areas in the Middle-earth. Huge fields of lavender and colorful trees - what a grace! It's just a pity that they are infested by evil creatures, including maddened Draig-luth and cunning hounds. Nevertheless, Brewbelly decided to spend her Sunday afternoon there, even if it meant cutting her way through enemies.

It wasn't even so bad in the end. A few archers here, a few silly puppies there, and she was right in the middle of lavender field, enjoying herself. Her only companion was her theorbo and countless songs she played, reminding herself of the good old times when she was still a careless hobbit lass, not knowing anything about servants of Sauron. "What good times that were! But they'll return anyway," she conformed herself and took a nap.

Dunland Caretaker's Cloak is another beautiful mantle I've wanted to include in my outfits for a long time. Its gentle lavender color soothes any kind of outfit, but it's really difficult to match because of pastel blue accents. However, the lovely hobbit outfitter's merchandise, Long Fancy Robe, shares the same shade of blue. Dyed violet, both items matched really nicely except for the robe's salmon pink belt and gold hem. I tried to accent those with the shoulders and the helm.

Lone rider

A true burglar doesn't show her face. If you've met this one, her identity is probably still hidden from you, unless you belong to a very limited group of people she travels with. We know she is a hobbit (unfortunately the height difference is hard to conceal), but that's where the information ends. Her attire serves as mimicry in the dusty Lone-lands, where she currently wanders.

I bought the Steed of the Burglar for my little burg Grulka, although it definitely doesn't have not one of my favorite mount designs. Despite that, I can't deny that it's interesting and original. I tried to create a matching outfit around the chestpiece, because it has the same pattern as the pony's blanket, but I'm not entirely sure about the result. The whole outfit seems a little messy to me and I liked the version in full Pathfinder's set much better, but not original at all. I'm curious about your opinions on this one :)

Summerstorm

Brewbelly, the Peacekeeper of Maur Tulhau, has been raised in Gloomglens, but soon after the Rangers visited her village, she joined them. She is a talented minstrel and sings of the legends of Enedwaith, where paths of men, southerners and hobbits cross. She has been very helpful during negotiations between the Rangers and Enedwaith clan leaders, as she quickly understood both cultures well.

No matter how serious job Brewbelly has, she is still a hobbit in the first place and she knows how to enjoy her life. Since joining the Grey Company, she gets to travel a lot and she loves it. Even in the heaviest summer rains (which become blizzards in northern lands), she is happy to see new places. Her joy of life is contagious and that's why her fellowship, in which she's by far the tiniest member, adores her.

This post is made in a rush - as you can see, I didn't even wait for good weather in Middle-earth, although the post was intended to bear summer atmosphere. The thing is that I couldn't resist making  a quick outfit around the new summer festival hat, after I've seen it in Hymne's preview, before I go for a business trip. This isn't my last outfit featuring this hat, because it's just gorgeous, so I hope you like this quickie at least a bit :)

Cluck cluck

Everyone in the Shire has already headed for the Farmer's Faire. The biggest happening of the season excites all hobbits, because they can either sell or buy the best food available and please their stomachs to the greatest extent! Freyjuska has also been looking forward to the Faire all year long, not only to fill her belly, but also to sell eggs from her own hens.

Wearing her best dress, elegant town hat and signature cloak, Freyjuska gathered the best of the best eggs she could find in the coop and set off for the Bywater market. Her pony Dandelion was running fast like the wind, but careful, not allowing even a single egg to be smashed. The more they sell, the more treats they will be able to buy, and Dandy knows Freyjuska won't forget about her belly as well and get her the sweetest carrots. Let them come!

I did it! The famed Cloak of the Cluck is finally mine! I've wanted it for years now, but never got enough patience to finish all the Flying the Coop quests. Today, I've heard my kin is organizing a chicken run tomorrow (when I'm unfortunately away) and along with Farmer's Faire spirit all around me it boosted my will to finally finish the series.

I was missing four of the Flying the Coop quests: Evendim, Bree-land, North-downs and Trollshaws. The first three were easy as pie, but the Trollshaws were a real torture. I failed it 5 times (3 of which I even had escort) and successfully completed it on 6th attempt, thanking heavens for the perfect guide I found on the forums (I highly recommend reading it before trying Trollshaws run for the first time!).

Although I completed the quest solo in the end, I'd like to thank all the guys who have made getting the cloak possible (thanks to them I had fun and didn't lose faith):

Danariel - for responding to my maddened clucking under the High Moor and accompanying me up 'till death tore us apart :)

Freyjuska, an experienced hunter of Fallohides, has never been a very feminine hobbit. She wore her jacket and pants since she'd first left her parents' hobbit hole, changing only for similar and better suited equivalents for different battle situations. However, she grew tired of fighting and decided to take a vacation for some time, to visit her favourite places in the Middle-earth and enjoy them, without piercing enemy heads this time.

She took out her most beautiful and prized pony Amarië, given to her by the Galladhrim, and rode her across all the beautiful meadows. From the Delving Fields to Heathfells, they both just breathed in the wonderful smell of flowers and trees and for a while lived for the atmosphere.

Sometimes they took a break, so that Freyjuska could pick up flowers - and of course, Frey wouldn't be a hobbit, if they didn't stop for a fine mug of ale from time to time :) Nothing could match her favourite beer from the Bird and the Baby Inn, so she got one right after they'd returned back home. "Traveling is great, and so is a bit of rest. But nothing can match seeing home and knowing I'm ready to fight some more battles very soon!" Freyjuska told her friends and had another sip.

I gotta say I adore the new spring festival cosmetics. The person who designed them should get a bonus, or at least a pie from all hobbits of Middle-earth :) When I saw the brimmed hat in Hymne's spring cosmetics preview, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I gotta use it for Freyjuska. It's so cute and unusual - although almost everyone seems to be wearing it right now :)

I saw the hat and the cloak stand out beautifully in many colours - rose and purple are perfect match, sea or Evendim blue really make the pattern stand out. However, when I tried olive dye on them, it really clicked to me - although I'm not a big fan of greens. It seemed so cheerful and gentle at the same time! This outfit became Freyjuska's historically first feminine attire ever, and think it will last her through many seasons, not just spring :)

A tale of acorns and nuts

When Accornia and her fellow pony Nuts set off for their journey, it seemed that despite his name, Nuts was actually the sane part of the duo. "You're totally nuts," he told to his young mistress (he could, because she had a rare gift of understanding the animals). "We can't go to Forochel! Not alone! I know I've been born there, but when your uncle brought me to Hobbiton, we had traveled with a lot of other hobbits and dwarves!"

Accornia stayed firm. "I am a guardian, I will protect you. You worry too much, Nuts!" she smiled. That almost drew Nuts totally nuts: "I'm not going anywhere! The monsters roaming all the way through Evendim and Forochel are dangerous, they would surely eat us in a bite!" But all his reasoning was useless. Accornia stood with her arms akimbo and uttered: "Ok, I'm going alone then!"

Of course, Nuts couldn't let her go. They were equally old, sixteen, but while a pony is already experienced and wise at that age, a hobbit is still just a kid. So they traveled together through Shire first, passed Oatbarton, Dwalling and dangers of Men Erain, until they finally entered Forochel. They hadn't met a single evil beast, except for one angry squirrel enraged by their presence. "What a relief," Nuts thought just before they met his family and Accornia's distant relatives. "We haven't been devoured after all!"

I don't think I have ever considered using crafted medium armour from the Lossoth before, because of the dull undyable navy parts. Exactly the same parts I now knew I gotta use to match the Steed of the Forochel! I think it's pretty difficult to build a matching outfit around, because its fur is deep black on the bottom and blueish-grey under the blanket. On top of that, the blanket itself is rust and Evendim blue... hardcore combination, for everyone besides the Lossoth themselves :)

This outfit is not aiming to be pretty, but rather promotes usability and tries to fit the environment. I'm happy I won the Forochel pony on a hobbit, because hobbit girls are the best models for fluffy Forochel cloaks, which make them look totally adorable. And when I was going through the screenshots I took and saw the topmost one, I immediately had the story of acorns and nuts in my mind :))

The pony and the rider

When passing through Celondim, Grulka noticed an usually beautiful pony stabled in the town. She asked the stable-master who is the wonderful animal's master. "She has no master," he replied. "At least no one still alive. Some time ago, a very powerful dwarf controlling the fury of runes rode from the Blue Mountains, visited his friends here in Celondim and then died. He knew it was coming, so he left the mare to me and told me to let her choose her own master. Since then, she refused to bear everybody who's tried riding her, knocked off even the noblest of dwarves and elves." "Perhaps she doesn't want noble elves and dwarves, maybe she just wants somebody with a bright mind and light heart, not to mention light stature," Grulka replied rudely and tried to mount the pony. Since then, they've become friends and ride everywhere together - sometimes a magical horse has enough magic on its own and all it needs is a master with tender soul and hand :)

When Hymne posted her guide on Outfitters' selection, I noticed the undyable parts of Elven Hauberk and Elven Tunic and Pants match the Steed of the Rune-keeper's weird greenish blue perfectly. I've been to the Celondim outfitter countless times, but never realized that before. So, here comes another Steed of the Rune-keeper matching outfit, previewed also on a dwarf and an elf for your convenience :) It was also my submission for the LOTRO Fashion Week's screenshot contest.

When I won the Steed of the Rune-keeper in a lottery for my baby burglar, first thing I've thought was "damn" :) I love the mount very much and was secretly hoping to win it for my elves or my dwarf, to be able to play with outfits matching this challenging steed. But later I realized that I'm terribly lucky anyway and who knows - maybe a hobbit riding the Steed of the Rune-keeper will at least catch more interest! So I made it a warden outfit :)

For the dwarf and elf preview, I switched the Warden's Pack for the Sage's Pack and added Westfold boots. Please excuse that the backpack and boots are navy dyed - I didn't want to waste Evendim blue on a preview. I think that even though the hauberk itself is elvish, the whole composition suites dwarves the best.

Wish: Simple hobbit girl meeting the Rangers

You might know Brassica from her stories publishes on Casual Stroll to Mordor. This cute and courageous hobbit lass already has a lot of fans, and her journey has just begun! Her travels brought her to Evendim where she is meeting a lot of Rangers, and so far didn't have a proper battle garb suitable for the circumstances. Beldrieth, who is telling Brassica's stories, revealed: "This is the first time Brassica's even thought about something like armour, she an innkeeper's daughter, who hasn't ever dressed for any real adventuring."

This is how Brassica dreamed up her outfit:

• simple and practical (nothing too fancy),
• nothing too heavy - she just can't carry much weight and as a warden, she prefers to be quick and hard to hit,
• something to honour the Rangers she's met in Evendim who gave her a lot of support (and some armour too!),
• she wanted to avoid high-end raiding pieces, otherwise she was willing to do a lot of effort to collect parts of her armour.

To fit into Brassica's role-play, I checked her bio and sent Beldrieth three designs which I thought would suit her:

 

The simplest of the three outfits - here I used dark shades of Evendim blue (to reflect Brassica's Oatbarton heritage) and typical ranger hood & cloak. The chest piece is Inn League Tunic and Pants, so it could also be interpreted as her heritage as inn keeper's daughter. Beldrieth was so enthusiastic about it that I have to quote her e-mail, because it made me really happy :)

"As a proud Sage of Fine Spirits myself, I love the Inn League angle. It hadn't occurred to me to make that connection for her, but it's a wonderful thought. I don't know if it quite fits what I had thought of in terms of her armour needs, but now I know that Brassica is a badge bearing, card-carrying, member of the Inn League."

This outfit includes very pastel green colours, similar to what Brassica wore before. It looks the heaviest out of the three designs, however, it can certainly keep her well protected.

And finally, Beldriet's winner. I designed this as a distinguishable warden outfit, where Ranger element is represented only by the shoulder piece with typical star. Beldriet said about her choice: "I think this outfit is just perfect, looking at it from the standpoint of putting together a story to go with it, it looks like she was given a mail shirt that's entirely too big for her, and a leather hauberk that's needed to be tightened with a variety of straps and buckles in order to fit properly, and the shoulder piece is just the perfect little nod to the Rangers." And she said I've hit the nail on the head - this made the hobbit inside me proud! :))

Wish: Adorable hobbit in purple

Some time ago, I received a wish for an outfit from Evlin, cute hobbit minstrel of Crickhollow. She also sent me a picture of her current outfit:

Evlin had a very good idea of what she expected from the outfit. The main idea was "a perfect cosmetic outfit that reflects the personality you want to give your character (beautiful, adventurous, battle-worthy) and you keep it on from level 1 (exaggeration) to level 75 only changing the colors once in a while." Except for this, she had following requirements:

• Outfit either casual, battle-ready, cute and basically designed for a hobbit
• Ceremonial Cloak of the West-tower used in the outfit
• Colours: purple (violet works too, but purple is best), also Evendim blue, any shade of green (for a minstrel) or Ered Luin blue
• No raid gear whatsoever unless it can be bought somewhere else, no store items in the outfit and hopefully no higher level gear

I sent Evvy the first two designs:

In the first design, I tried to combine the cloak and Evvy's favourite purple colour in a way that it's "hobbity" enough. Hobbit lasses look amazing in dresses, and although it's not exactly battle ready type of clothes, minstrel usually keeps her distance, so she doesn't need heavier armour to protect her. And such a nice cleavage forming dress would certainly help her increase morale of her fellows :)

In the second design I went for rich hobbit traveler look - turquoise and gold combination. I included shoes in the design, but barefoot works too.

Evvy didn't like the first outfit very much, because she would feel like she betrayed her characters by making them run around marshes and slimy caves in dresses, and I had no other choice than completely agree :))

She liked the second outfit very much and wanted to wear the same in purple dye. However, there were a lot of Tier 6 crafted items used and Evvy had no access to those. Also, the robe (most widely known as Survivor's Robe) was only acquirable very expensively for skirmish marks, or from the pre-Moria epic questline at that time (it's now available in the store as well). So we tried to come up with something similar and easily acquirable. I sent her the third design:

All of the items used here (except for the cloak) are purchasable from vendors or crafted up to Tier 5, so they are widely available on Auction Hall. Evvy loved the second variant shown in this design and asked for items list. She was so keen to already be wearing the outfit, that she didn't even wait for it and took initiative - she built the outfit herself, using slightly different outfit, but keeping the overall impression, which I value very highly :))

Evlin mentioned she will probably later switch to the Survivor's Robe when she gets it as a quest reward, but until then, Long Fancy Robe purchasable from outfitter vendor is a very decent replacement :)

Battling the blizzard

Phloxie is enjoying the holiday spirit, but even in the merry times, she likes to be engaged in a little fighting. As a true warden, her heart jumped of joy when she heard Frostbluff needs driving off some frost grims to protect the poor who were forced to move outside the town walls. Dressed appropriately to resist the freezing cold, she gave the blizzard some good tanking and spanking. People of Frostbluff were so happy and grateful they invited her for some mulled wine and they sang a lot of carols together to celebrate the victory over the cold. And Phloxie was star of the show once again :)

Usually when I'm checking out items' appearance on auction hall on my hobbit main, I'm disappointed, because many items don't really 'shine' on hobbits. However, this chest piece and leggings combo got me excited immediately - altogether it makes hobbit girls look so much slimmer and taller! Paired with a furry hooded cloak, which is absolute guarantee of cuteness on hobbit lass, I like the result this festive outfit gives. The rolled up sleeves don't entirely help winter look, but I have an excuse - a good fight and a little bit of mulled wine can really make any hobbit feel very warm! :)

Remorseless treasure hunter

Freyjuska had a terrible nightmare tonight. Her dream started all good. She was digging for some gold and precious gemstones. She had a cave-claw companion, who a great gold-sniffer skills and she soon started to treat him as a friend, not just a pet. As they became richer, other treasure hunters started to envy them. She remained indifferent to them, until one morning she found her dear cave-claw friend butchered. Freyjuska went insane, swore to forever seek revenge and made herself and her horse a battle garb from cave-claw skulls. Seeing herself butchering some innocent traveler, Freyjuska woke up from the horrible nightmare covered in sweat. I bet she will never dig for gold again - or at least, until the Treasure Hunt starts again.

My recent luck amazes me. A few days ago, I won a Fleet-footed Goat in a lottery, and today I got a very unique mount from my first large treasure chest in the Treasure Hunt event sneak peak. I bet I will never get any good loot from now on :) But at least I can share this new mount pictures with you.
I've never thought I would use the terrible blood-stained cloak in any outfit. Frankly, I think this is the only evil outfit I've made so far and I didn't really feel good dressing Freyjuska like that. But for some reason, the cave-claw mask and mount seem kinda evil-ish to me. Even the weather was rainy, or rather stormy in Middle-earth tonight, so it completed the whole atmosphere of the composition.

When it comes to Treasure Hunt itself, it was up today only for 2 hours and I managed to try it for about an hour. However, even in such short time it was much fun and the rewards (especially the cosmetic ones) are very interesting and unique. As far as I've heard, there is also a goat mount given as a rare reward from treasure chests (same as this horse/pony). But there were also downsides to this event - getting pickaxes necessary for digging treasures is time-consuming (repeatable quest with 15 minutes cooldown yields only 2 pickaxes) and the other repeatable is almost impossible to complete when there are many people around (if I ever hear of berries, I will follow Freyjuska in her nightmare and get crazy). Otherwise, all good :D

Following is the sneak-peak of Jeweller's Helm, another cosmetic item from this event (and again, I was lucky to get it from a chest - otherwise it's pretty expensive on tokens). I will make next outfit around it and it will be really hard not to name it "Freyjuska of Borg"or "Resistance is futile" :))

It was a freezing morning in Ered Luin and Phloxie was hurrying to Gondamon, hoping to buy lovely Yule presents for her friends. Suddenly, she noticed quick shimmer of bright white fur between the pine needles in the forest. She came closer with curiosity and was left speechless - in front of her there stood a sparkling white goat, peacefully staring at the little hobbit girl. After a while of getting closer to each other, Phloxie knew she could tame the goat, gave her a warm red blanket as a saddle and started calling her Fleet Foot. Fleet Foot seemed to understand her name, because as they ran to Gondamon together, she was trying hard to be the fastest goat ever seen by hobbits or even dwarves. But Phloxie didn't care - she was happy she found the best Yule present for herself, a good animal friend.

I was lucky to win the Fleet-footed Goat in a flash lottery on Friday for my baby warden, Phloxie. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful goat mount currently present ingame - its fur is sparkling white and it's equipped with bright red blanket, little gems and cute metal wings. I wanted to make an outfit to match this extraordinary mount, and I used its christmasy colour scheme.

Freyjuska has recently gained a lot prestige among Dunlending folk and even Théodred's riders, by driving off enemy forces and helping those in need. She decided to give herself a well-deserved break from serious business and get some past time for herself only. Freyjuska went on a good old fashioned hunt to her favourite district - Forochel, which always shimmers with northern light and evokes peace and serenity.

Again, I encouraged you, dear readers, to dress up in a winter outfit, and my own beloved lil' hobbit has been left neglected. Until now. After doing many skirmishes for superior 4th marks, I was left with tons of campaign marks and decided to find a decent use for them. I've never been a big fan of skirmish cosmetic rewards (especially hauberks), but sometimes just the right colour or combination is necessary to fall in love with an attire - and this happened to me just today.

I made so many action screenshots I couldn't decided which one to use as an opening picture. So I apologize for screenshot spam - I've decided to include those I liked the most. I don't usually dress up Freyjuska a lot (for some mysterious reason unknown to me, because she's adorable and I love her!) and when I do, I overenjoy it a bit :)
