Gerbag is one tough dwarf. Very dwarvish! Just trying to remember, I think in "The Tale of Turin", Turin uses an old dwarf mask to help him defeat Glaurung. (In previous times the dwarves had used face masks to protect them against the fire of dragons). So combining the face mask with the dragon-device breastplate is a great idea.
