Brrokk often goes prospecting in the Ice-Bay of Forochel or the Misty Mountains. While in those cold places, he sometimes sees other people acting very strangely. Running about in the snow in thin, insubstantial garments! They invite hypothermia and they won't be so merry when the pointed tips of their ears freeze! Brrokk believes in keeping warm, and here is how he does it.

Chest: Snow-dusted Travelling Robe, umber dye (Yule festival)
Shoulders: Snow-dusted Travelling Shoulders, umber dye (Yule festival)
Hands: Scaled Gloves of Fate, white dye (World drop; many vendor sold gloves are good replacement)
Feet: Boots of the Seven Fathers, default dye (World drop; Brrokk says: "Other boots would do, as long as they grip well on ice.")
Back: Ceremonial Cloak of Ajokoira, default dye (T5 crafted)
Beard: black

Guest inspiration: Chaos dwarf by Brrokk

Rate:

Brrokk Barrowbane heard that some of the young hobbits in Bree play a game called "Warhammer". He thought this sounded good until he heard that it featured "chaos dwarves". How disrespectful! One can't settle scores like this in Bree by beheading, but he decided to dress up as one of their bad guys to give them a fright. Here is the result. Brrokk's reign of terror didn't last long though, because Watcher Heathstraw admonished him about, "Behaviour likely to cause alarm, annoyance or astonishment". It won't happen again, honest.

This outfit is inspired by Chaos dwarves from Warhammer. I think Brrokk did pretty amazing job in dressing as scary dwarven villain :) What do you guys think? Please tell us in comments!

Brrokk's previous off-duty outfit was ruined by the changes to the Robe of Viisaus. It has changed colour and he can't get it to match the boots anymore. But no problem; there are some nice items of clothing in Dunland and he already did a lot of good deeds to build a new outfit for relaxation and crafting out of the rewards. He is not sure what the rope-like hanging things are, but surely they'll be handy for hanging hammers, chisels and tongs.

Chest: Hill-man's Cracked Leather Jacket, rust dye (Dunland quest)
Feet: Weathered Leather Scout's Boots, umber dye (Dunland quest)

Brrokk is already known to us by his battle outfit. He is a great warrior, but he doesn't like to wear heavy armour all the time. When off-duty, it is still important to look good. Brrokk was aiming for a distinctive bright-coloured look, but not overwhelming with bright colours. Has he managed it? I think so :)

Chest: Robe of Viisaus, rust dye (Quest: Vol. I, Book 13, Chapter 4: The Hand of Angmar; also available as Robe of Vigour - lvl 56 world drop)
Feet: Elven Leather Boots, crimson dye (Rivendell medium armoursmith)
Back: Elrond's Exquisite Cloak, default dye (Quest: Vol. I, Book 12, Chapter 10: Half-truths)

Little seems to be known of the lost Blue Wizards, who passed into the East of Middle Earth with Curunir but did not return. It is generally assumed that they were, like the other wizards, of man-stature. But maybe their purposes were different and so their appearance would also differ. Perhaps, when Manwe planned to send forth the Istari, he consulted with Aule. Perhaps, together, they conceived of purposes in the deep places as well as among the sunlight peoples of Middle Earth. If they did so, the blue wizards may have looked something like this.

Chest: Seaton's Robes, grey dye (Quest: Goblins in the Hollow)
Head: Weatherbeaten Hat, grey dye (Outfitter vendor)
Hands: Tindr's Gloves, navy dye (Quest: A Patch in Time)
Feet: Tattered Dwarf-make Cloth Shoes, default dye (Quest: Intro: Where Skorgrím Sleeps)
Back: Plain Cloak, grey dye (Outfitter vendor)

"I am Brrokk Barrowbane. I come originally from the Lonely Mountain far to the East, but I journeyed to these lands in search of riches. Well, that is nothing unusual for a dwarf as you know, but I had little alternative. As a younger son of a large and by no means rich family, I did not have much hope of easy wealth. And, I admit, I was proud. My family were retainers and servants to the dwarf lords who had returned to the Mountain after the defeat of the drake Smaug, but I did not relish such employment. I therefore gathered my few possessions and jouneyed westward, towards Eriador and the Halls of Thorin I had heard of in the far-off Blue Mountains."

This is just a short introduction to wonderful story of Brrokk Barrowbane, renowned guardian of Snowbourn. My dear kinmate has put a great effort into his role-playing backgroung, creating entire blog for his character!
His blog contains biographical information as well as many well-written stories about the journeys and battles he's experienced, including a lot of screenshots. His last post describes the path to his current look, which he also decided to share with readers of my blog.
For anyone interested in role-playing, I really recommend reading the whole story of Brrokk, which is available here. Enjoy!
