Her friends welcomed her, but she knew there's more danger that she must face alone - master Cenlieg is a wise, but old lore-master. Hence he stayed in Kauppa-kohta, waiting for his apprentice, whom he considered dear as own daughter. She ate fine deer with their fellows and set off for a journey back, to accompany Cenlieg. No night is dark enough for Ladriell to ride through, if her dear teacher's life is endangered!
After a while I surrendered trying to get a perfect match and started composing something which I simply liked both matched to the horse and alone. In the end I settled for this robe, as its small details match other small details of the horse - the sleeves, the sienna patches... and thanks to metallic details, it adds a little fierceness to the whole composition (as the steed itself is very feminine and gentle). Although some people call this robe a bath gown :), I really like it and the patterns on it.
I've always considered Forochel one of the most beautiful areas in LOTRO, but I don't think I've ever appreciated the sunset and dusk there. Today, while taking screenshots of the outfit, I managed to catch a glimpse of the wonderful lilac shadows on the land, and I felt like in paradise. I hope that it helped to underline the outfit's color scheme and derive attention away from the not-so-matching color of the robe and the horse :)
Please let me know what do you think about the outfit in comments, or simply rate below the post's title :)

Mount: Steed of the Lore-master (Store)

This outfit is wonderful in it's own right, and I think the "bathrobe" is a great choice for this outfit as well. I think you could even dye it sienna or rust and still make a good match with the horse. The shoulders are more exotic and together with the hat for another great eclectic Lotro Fashion Loremaster outfit! I think it's very well done and your screenshots are as usual superb.
ReplyDeletethank you for such kind words Hymne! I'm glad you like the outfit - I was personally really worried about people's reactions to the bathrobe (chuckle) but it seems it's not that disturbing :)
DeleteOh, I love that robe. I wear it in crimson on my main. I'd never heard it called a bath robe before.
ReplyDeleteI feel like she really need gloves if she's roaming around Forochel though. Her hands much be so cold!
you're right about the gloves - the thing is that this robe clips awfully with most of longer gauntlets. as for short gloves, I didn't like them, because combination of wide sleeves & wide gloves made the arms of the character look very skinny (unhealthy skinny :). so I settled for an idea that a lore-master throws fireballs all the time anyway, so she won't be cold 0:)
DeleteAnother great outfit to complement the Lore-master's steed! I love seeing everyone's different takes on outfit possibilities for the steeds. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot where she's using (I think) Frost-lore! And I love the reference to Cenlieg and his raven. :D
thanks Starry ^^ I like the casting shot too and it was a lucky one - I was basically just smashing all the buttons while fighting the frost grim, I love the animations of this mob :)
DeleteWow, that Frost-lore shot is really awesome! Also the last picture is great too
ReplyDeleteWhich staff is that? I like it.
gotta log ingame and check - according to Darzil, this design is Smooth Lebethron Staff level 38, but I think I may have some quest reward staff - my LM is level 49 and I don't think she still carries this one :) let me check it for you :)
DeleteAwesome job Frey - really like the colors in the robe...
ReplyDeletethanks for compliment, I know you have eye for details so I appreciate it very much! :)
