Have you ever noticed the lovely huntress on Lotro loading screen? While you are waiting for your connection to be established, the tenderly dressed elf maiden is moving from peaceful glades of Rivendell valley towards Mordor, keeping a wary eye on the rest of the fellowship.
I don't have an elven huntress myself, but I wanted to pay tribute to the artist who created the loading screen picture by imitating this outfit. Hence I sent my rune-keeper Sidgrid to hairdresser and asked her to model for the lovely lady's outfit. She gladly accepted, so I can now present my depiction of this very feminine attire.
Chest: Elven Warrior's Armour, navy dye (T5 crafted)I don't have an elven huntress myself, but I wanted to pay tribute to the artist who created the loading screen picture by imitating this outfit. Legs: Fine Dwarf-Make Leather Leggings, purple dye (T2 crafted)
Shoulders: Rock-Climber's Shoulder Guards, purple dye (T6 crafted)
Hands: Scout's Gloves, purple dye (T6 crafted)
Feet: Elven Leather Boots of Fleetness, purple dye (world drop)
Back: Fine Quiver, purple dye (T2 crafted)
P.S.: Finding the skirt has been the biggest pain. I also considered Steel Legs, but they have weird undyable red patch on the front of the skirt, so it looked very inconveniently. If you know skirt similar to the one I used, but without the strip on the back side, please let me know.
Nice inspiration! I think you captured that really well!
ReplyDeleteI think the boots share the visuals with the Sturdy Elven Leather Boots (lvl 22 crafted); see here: http://northshield.co.uk/LOTRO/Medium/Sturdy/SturdyEB.JPG
ReplyDeleteAs for the 'skirt', i'd try the Dwarf-make Campaigner's Leggings, not sure how do they dye though:

hymne - thank you! :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the leggings tip, i tried those - they are the same as steel legs i mention in the post. the red patch is hardly noticable with brown tones, but in purple, it's a big eyesore :( if only it could be dyed...
Why not go and try one of the elven-style leggings, then? It's clear the lady from the loading screen lady wears elven leggings, except the 'skirt' part is a bit longer than in-game.
ReplyDeleteI mean, any decent Elf would get offended that you are trying to sell those smelly Dwarf leggings in an elven outfit... :p
:DD you are probably right about the offence, but i'm anti-racist so i dress dwarves in elven clothes and vice versa :D
ReplyDeleteanyway, on a more serious note, i tried scout's/merchwarden's etc. leggings, but didn't look similar at all to the artwork. i might give it another try though :)
love this one ! trying to find the recipes now to make the outfit :)
ReplyDeleteleggings are also [Dwarf Leather Leggings of Fate] a world drop - lvl 32
ReplyDeletenemesrien, i have most of the pieces unbound :) if we meet ingame tomorrow, i can lend them to you :)
ReplyDeleteHey :) i managed to find most of it, except the cute boots! so if you see me around, send me a tell :)
ReplyDeletehey neme! i'm moving to another country next week, so i'm almost never ingame, but i'll try to remember the boots and send them to you by mail. simply send them back when you add them :)
